The Sanatorium helped 10,000 tuberculosis patients with fresh air and sunshine. Many recovered.
Two facilities were spelled alike. The Sanitarium (Arroyo and College) was a progressive mental health campus. The Sanatorium for tuberculosis was at far south end of Arroyo road.
