Carnegie Building

In 1911, this building was opened to the public as a library on this site located on the block border by 3rd and 4th Streets and J and K Streets. It was the culmination of an effort by the Ladies League of Progress to provide the town with 1st class library facilities. In 1966, the library was moved to larger quarters in the city's civic center. The Carnegie Building is now home to Livermore Art Association's Gallery and Livermore Heritage Guild's History Center. Come in and visit us. We are open Wednesdays through Sundays.
